What we fix

The plumbing calls that come in most.

If water is going somewhere it shouldn't, or not going where it should, start with a call. A photo by text helps the crew bring the right parts on the first trip.

Leaks and pipe repair

Dripping supply lines, pinhole leaks, failed shutoff valves and pipe that's corroded past patching. Sections get replaced, not taped.

Water heaters

Repair, same-size tank replacement, or a switch to tankless. See water heaters.

Water lines

The line from the meter to the house, and the lines inside walls and under slabs. Condo and townhome lines too.

Sewer lines

Main sewer pipe that's cracked, backed up or sagging. Landmarc replaces sections of main sewer piping and handles the dig and the backfill.

Drains

Slow tubs, kitchen sinks that back up, and floor drains. If a drain keeps coming back, the line gets looked at, not just snaked again.

Toilets and fixtures

New toilets, faucets, supply lines and fixtures, plus the rotted subfloor or cabinet base that a slow leak leaves behind.

What happens when you call.

You tell us what's going on. If it's actively leaking, you'll be told how to shut the water off first. Then George sets a time to look at it.

On site, the job is to find the cause, not just the drip. A wet ceiling can be a toilet seal, a shower valve or a supply line two rooms over, and fixing the wrong one means paying twice.

You get the price and the options first

Before work starts you get a price. When there's more than one way to fix it, like patching a section or replacing the run, you hear both and what each costs. Reviewers keep mentioning this part: the repair options get explained without pressure.

Then the crew fixes it and cleans up

The work gets checked before the crew leaves, and the area gets left the way it was found or better. If the leak damaged a cabinet floor, subfloor or drywall, Landmarc can repair that too, since it also does remodeling.

Older pipe in Hampton Roads homes

A lot of houses here still have original galvanized supply pipe or cast iron drains. Both rust from the inside, so a leak in one spot often means more are coming. If that's what you have, you'll hear honestly whether a repair buys you years or months.

Plumbing questions

Before you call.

Where is my main water shutoff?

Usually where the water line enters the house: in a garage, a utility closet, under the kitchen sink, or near the water heater. Condos and townhomes sometimes have it in a closet or outside by the meter. Turn it clockwise to close it.

Is the estimate free?

Yes. You get a price before any work starts, with options when there's more than one way to fix it.

Can you fix the damage the leak caused?

Yes. Landmarc also does remodeling and water damage repair, so the cabinet floor, subfloor, drywall or flooring can be fixed by the same company that fixed the pipe.

Do you work on condos and townhomes?

Yes. Shared walls make leaks harder to trace, so the first step is finding which side of the wall the problem is on.
