Bathroom remodeling · Hampton Roads

Bathroom remodeling by a crew that does its own plumbing.

Showers, tile, vanities, floors and the pipes behind them. Landmarc designs it with you, prices it up front, and George runs the job from demo to final walkthrough.

Why it matters who does the plumbing

Most of a bathroom is behind the wall.

Tile is what you see. The valve, the drain, the waterproofing and the subfloor are what decide whether it lasts. When the same company does both, nobody blames the other trade when something's off.

Tile showers

Walk-in showers with niches, benches and glass, built on a waterproofed base, not just tiled over drywall.

Tub to shower conversions

The tub comes out, the drain gets moved and a walk-in shower goes in. Good for aging in place.

Vanities and counters

Single or double vanities, new tops, faucets and lighting, with supply and drain lines moved to fit.

Floors

Tile and waterproof plank flooring, with rotted subfloor replaced first if a slow leak has gotten to it.

Ventilation

Exhaust fans that actually vent outside, so the mirror clears and mold doesn't start in the ceiling.

Hidden damage

When demo turns up water damage, it gets shown to you and fixed properly before the new work covers it.

How a bathroom remodel runs.

1. Walkthrough and design

George looks at the space, talks through what you want and what the budget allows, and helps with layout and finishes. Reviewers mention this a lot: he's realistic about how much you can do with the money you have.

2. A written price

You get a quote before anything starts. If you want options, it can be broken out so you can pick what to do now and what to do later.

3. Demo, then the hidden stuff

Once the old bathroom is out, plumbing and subfloor get checked. Water damage under a tub or toilet is common in older bathrooms. If it's there, you see it and hear the plan before it gets covered.

4. Build and finish

Plumbing, waterproofing, tile, vanity, fixtures and trim. George oversees the crew and any trade partners the whole way, and the work gets checked before it's called done.

Bathroom questions

What people ask.

How long does a bathroom remodel take?

It depends on the size and what's behind the walls. A hall bath refresh is shorter than a master bath with a new tile shower and moved plumbing. You'll get a timeline with the quote.

Can I use the bathroom during the work?

Usually not once demo starts. If it's your only bathroom, say so up front and the schedule gets planned around it.

What if you find water damage?

You'll be shown what was found and what it takes to fix before the new work covers it. Reviewers have said Landmarc stood by the original quote when extra work turned up.

Do you help pick finishes?

Yes. Design help on layout, tile, vanity and fixtures is part of the job.
